Bible in a YearSample

As discussed yesterday, Matthew is the first book in the New Testament written about Jesus. Here are some highlights about the book of Matthew:
-Written in the 50s or 60s A.D. Matthew was one of Jesus’ disciples who wrote about his life and teachings.
-Matthew was a tax collector before Jesus called Him to be a disciple.
-Since Matthew was Jewish, his Gospel focuses on Jesus being the fulfillment of the Old Testament prophecy of the Messiah.
