The Word Gives Us Life

“I Am The Sprouting Vine and you’re My branches. As you live in union with Me as your source, fruitfulness will stream from within you—but when you live separated from Me you are powerless. If a person is separated from Me, he is discarded; such branches are gathered up and thrown into the fire to be burned. But if you live in life-union with Me and if My words live powerfully within you—then you can ask whatever you desire and it will be done. When your lives bear abundant fruit, you demonstrate that you are My mature disciples who glorify My Father!” (John 15:5-8 TPT)

Here, Jesus says if we live in life-union with Him and allow His Words to live powerfully within us, then we can ask whatever we desire and it will be done because when our lives bear fruit, we glorify the Father. 

Let’s think about that for a moment. The fact that when we choose to live in life-union with Jesus and allow His Words to live within us, we can then ask whatever we desire and it will be done for us.

I think in order for us to truly abide in Jesus and allow the "Word" that is Him to abide in us, we must not only partake of the Word of God every single day of our lives, but we must revel in and deeply meditate upon the truth of its promises to us. When His Words become alive within us, we can ask whatever we desire of Him and it will be done for us. What a beautiful and powerful promise that is!
