Unwrapping the Names of Jesus | A Prayers of REST 5-Day Devotional by Asheritah Ciuciu Sample

Bread of Life
RECITE GOD’S GOODNESS:
O Precious Bread of Life, You are the One that our souls are hungry for, and You give Yourself freely to us. You are so good, for when I ask for daily bread You don’t give me stones, but You give Your very self. Day by day, You satisfy my hungry soul with the Bread of Life. I worship You!
EXPRESS YOUR NEEDINESS:
Lord Jesus, You’ve given me daily nourishment in the Word of life. Help me open Your Word each day and feast on the Bread of Life. I want to learn daily dependence on You.
SEEK HIS STILLNESS:
Meditate on the Bread of Life, as He invites you to receive the gift that He offers you. What do you want to say to Him? And is there anything that He wants to say to you?
TRUST HIS FAITHFULNESS:
Just as You generously provided daily manna for the Israelites in the wilderness, so in Jesus You daily provide for all my spiritual needs too. When I’m tempted to turn to food for comfort or distraction, help me instead to turn to You. Only You can satisfy. I trust You.
Scripture
About this Plan

In scripture, Jesus is given many names. Immanuel, King of Kings, Prince of Peace, Bread of Life, Light of the World; just to name a few. As Christmas approaches, take 5 days to pray through some of the names of Jesus. Dig into scripture and be met with the timeless and timely truth that Jesus is all that we need and more.
