The Prayer For Us To Be Unified
Unity is a complex subject for most people. Unity does not mean conformity. It is having the same mind and spirit towards the gospel. The gospel has had many different expressions throughout time and culture and unfortunately, we tend to get caught up on the methods and not the message.
Unity is such a big deal in furthering the gospel that Jesus prayed that we would be united. It’s probably the only prayer that we can answer! Jesus didn’t pray that we would be successful or happy or even safe He prayed that we would be united.
To be united, it will take humility which we discovered on Day 1. When we humble ourselves to one another, this amazing grace comes into our lives and we find that unity is easier than we think. Unity is a big deal to God, so it should be a big deal to us. It’s not about if we are right; it’s all about if we will submit.
