God Is the Strongest and Wisest

1 Corinthians 1:25

Even the foolishness of God is wiser than human wisdom. Even the weakness of God is stronger than human strength.

In this Bible reading, Paul described two groups of people: 

The first one is the well-educated, powerful people who refuse the message of Jesus’ cross. They see Jesus’ sacrifice as foolishness. They rely on their own intelligence and understanding while ignoring God’s words. They think that they are wise, but in fact, they are perishing in their own arrogance.

The next group is the people who are called by God and respond to that calling. Not many of them are wise according to human standards. However, they rely on God’s wisdom rather than their own understanding. They humbly acknowledge Jesus in every step of their lives. God choose them to shame the wise and the strong. 

Jesus gives us His wisdom to replace our foolishness. 

Jesus gives us His strength to replace our weakness.

Prayer

Dear Jesus, give me wisdom to always understand the meaning of Your sacrifice on the cross. I want to acknowledge You in every step of my life. Amen.
