God Is Love
How do you feel toward a person who makes fun of you or hits you? It’s hard to love someone like that, isn’t it? But God the Father loves everyone in the world. God loves us even when we don’t love and obey him. It is a sin not to love and obey God, and God must punish sin.
God loves you. You are very special to him. The Father loves you so much that he sent his Son Jesus to die for you. That’s how you can know he loves you. The Bible says, “God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8 NASB).
God loves us so much he was willing to be punished in our place. This would be like you asking to take the punishment in place of a brother, sister, or friend who did something wrong. Do you see how much God loves you?

Question: How do you know God the Father loves you?
Answer: I know the Father loves me because he sent Jesus to die for me.

Some people think God doesn’t love them. How do we know he does love them?
