Free/Instant download - The Holy Spirit

Before Jesus left earth to return to God the Father, He promised His friends (that’s us) a gift – like a free instant download – The Holy Spirit.

But this download never expires or becomes inactive. Jesus promised that He would never leave us and that the Holy Spirit would be God’s presence with us always, our constant companion, helping us with every step we take.

The Holy Spirit is our Comforter, our Advocate, our Guide, our Friend, He helps reveal truth and wisdom, empowers us to do what we cannot do on our own, shows us where we are not choosing God and invites us to choose again the one who is always choosing us. He helps us stay connected to love.

The Holy Spirit transforms us from the inside out – His presence grows good fruit in our lives as we experience and reflect God’s character – love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.

The Holy Spirit is also called the breath of God. He breathes life into you moment by moment. He is as close to you as your breath.

If you’re feeling stuck, alone or confused, take a deep breath – in and out. Let your breath remind you that God is close. You could even repeat a few words as you breathe, like, “God is with me.”

Prayer – Holy Spirit, help me remember and recognize that you are always with me.
