Who Am I? Sample

Drawn, Not Driven
God appears to Jeremiah.
The Lord’s wonderful message to His people, Israel, was the deep truth and assurance of His love. “It is not, ‘I have pitied thee,’ nor ‘I have thought about thee,’ but ‘I have loved thee.’ God is in love with you.” (Spurgeon). God’s love is everlasting. A love that does not change
The Lord goes on to say that His loving kindness draws Israel. Loving kindness or unfailing care expresses God’s divine nature. It is not a love that forces or compels, but a love that draws Israel with His loyal love, His covenant love. In God’s redemptive plan, God in His loving kindness leads Israel to repentance.
This statement of love that was spoken to Israel, but is not limited to them. God’s love reaches out to every single soul that truly believes, through all ages, to be the object of God’s most tender love. The Lord reminds us in John 15:16 that it is He who chose us, for His purposes.
Have you drawn to God’s everlasting love with repentance?
Lord may I choose to respond to your everlasting love and loving-kindness with true repentance, I pray.

About this Plan

The question of identity is one that has plagued humankind through the ages. Our understanding of this all-important question is often the result of what we have been told by our parents, family, teachers, and friends. Words that people have spoken to us, tend to define our understanding of ourselves. But should they? Explore what the Bible says through this plan from Find Rest My Soul by Preethi Alice Jacob.
