Memorizing scripture gives us a place to point back to when we face tough times. Memorizing scripture is like carrying comfort with us at all times.
1. Write out the verse on a few sticky notes and place them around your house, in your car, or in your locker at school.
2. Teamwork makes the dreamwork. Have your small group take one or two words of the verse and memorize those words. Then, when you meet you can all memorize the verse together.
3. Put the words of the verse to a melody and try to sing, or hum, the tune throughout the day.

About this Plan

We know that anything of value probably has a counterfeit version out there. The same is true for our faith. Maybe copying the behaviors of other believers was a great place to start your faith journey, but how can we move beyond copying Christians to following Jesus? How do we make our faith our own? The difference between a counterfeit faith and an authentic faith is growth and heart change.
