It’s easy to come up with our own ideas about what God is like. Sometimes we’re right and other times, not so much. If you’ve ever had a thought and wondered “was that from God, just my own thought, or something else completely?”, know that memorizing scripture helps us know the truth about who God is, and it helps us get better and better at recognizing when it’s God speaking to us. Scripture, and the principles we learn from it, is truth that we can count on.

2. Rephrase the verse in your own words.
3. Try to repeat the verse multiple times throughout the day.

About this Plan

We know that anything of value probably has a counterfeit version out there. The same is true for our faith. Maybe copying the behaviors of other believers was a great place to start your faith journey, but how can we move beyond copying Christians to following Jesus? How do we make our faith our own? The difference between a counterfeit faith and an authentic faith is growth and heart change.
