David was in a cave fearing for his life, surrounded by his enemies.

David here is a type of Christ, who, in His suffering for us, was forsaken by all, and yet He trusted in His Father. If we turn our complaints into prayers and praise, we, too, can trust that our loving Father can turn the situation around and bring glory to His Name.

It doesn’t matter what cave you find yourself in; just reach out to God. There is no cave so deep or so dark from where you cannot send a prayer to God with the expectation that He will deliver you from your troubles. Reach out to Him, now!

Prayer

Lord, You are my refuge, my EVER-PRESENT help, my glory, and the lifter of my head! Thank You for all Your love and care. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen.
