Break TrailSample

Have you ever wondered what happened to the plan? You, your friends, or your coach had a great game plan in mind, and now everyone is completely lost. Chaos has ensued, and it doesn't seem as if there's a fix to get it back on track. The Christian life can feel super complicated at times. We have this book, the Bible, and we're unsure what to do with it. A lot of it doesn't make sense, and if we're honest, we wonder what's the point. Well, the great part is that the Bible tells us God's ultimate mission plan for our lives and the world.
When we are uncertain about that mission, we look to Jesus. Ultimately, we follow him. We spend time with him, hang out with him, and listen to what he says. The more we follow him, the more we want to tell other people about him and his love. We find it hard to keep it inside. The more we love him, the more intently we follow. The more we follow him, the more we love him. When that happens, we want to tell the world!
What does it look like for you to follow Jesus?

About this Plan

If you're a hiker, you know a trail-breaker is someone who walks ahead, makes a new way, and invites others to follow. That's exactly what Jesus did for us. He broke a new trail with his birth, his life, his teachings, and then with his death and resurrection. In this 30-day devotional series designed for Lent, we’ll see how Jesus showed us a new way of living and knowing God.
