My Stability

Sarah, too, had faith, and because of this she was able to become a mother in spite of her old age, for she realized that God, who gave her his promise, would certainly do what he said.
- Hebrews 11:11 (TLB)

According to this verse, Sarah was able to conceive because of her faith. She was able to do this (have a child when it was naturally impossible) because she believed that the One who had given the promise was utterly trustworthy.

This must be my position. My stability. He has given me a promise, too:

I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus.
Philippians 1:6

Do I really believe that He will certainly do what He said?

Do I really believe that He is utterly trustworthy?

Lord, I want to believe, and oh! I need to believe! It just seems that You move so slowly. Not in my life especially, but in the lives of my children. You promise that You are working to perfect them, precious Lord. I cant do anything else. They're away from home and all grown up. I can't tell them what to do, and even to make suggestions seems to irritate them at times. Only You can cover my mistakes and right their wrongs. Only You can draw them to Yourself. I believe that. I rest in that. And I know that You will do what You have promised.
