In The Center Or On The Margins? How does the Christian church fit into the world? Why are governments more concerned about the Church than they are about ancestor worship or Buddhism or other 'isms'? The answer of course is the priority of the Church in God's plan. It's at the center of social concerns, political structures, educational content, and emotional health. God cares about every single aspect of his people's lives ... and the Church reflects that same care. (Or, at least we should.) Prayer: Dear Lord and Father, I'm in awe when I consider the responsibility you placed on your church in the world and the privilege of being a part of that. Show me ways to better integrate your Word and your agenda into my daily life. Help me be a positive influence to those around, not allowing the world system to permeate my life. Make me a blessing today, Lord. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
