Connect with God

The greatest connection you will ever have is the one you have with God. Everything that you are, everything that you do, begins with Him. Developing an authentic relationship with God, is both an exciting and imperfect journey. You won’t always have it altogether and you won’t always get it right, but you have to choose to connect. God is so committed to you, He will always give you grace filled opportunities to reconnect with Him. 

Yet I still dare to hope when I remember this: The faithful love of the Lord never ends! His mercies never cease. Great is his faithfulness His mercies begin afresh each morning.

Lamentations 3: 21-23

The more I grew in this understanding of God's grace, love and faithfulness, the more compelled I felt to connect with Him. No matter how broken and imperfect I was. In spite of the long periods of time that I decided to distance myself from Him, I felt a lot more free to reconnect. Over time I learnt that no matter where I found myself, God wasn’t going to stop inviting me to engage with Him.

That’s how an authentic relationship with God is created, when we are willing to bring our true self to Him, so that He can reveal His true self to us. He will not deny, neither will He reject you. He welcomes you. 

The question you should ask yourself daily is how can I make time to connect with God today? 

This is a connection that you have to be intentional about cultivating daily. Each day you decide to connect with God, you are making an investment in to the person that God wants you to become. Your connection with God is of the utmost importance. And the beauty of it is, it’s a connection that He desires to have with you, too. He longs to be in a vibrant and personal relationship with you. 

Now, there are different ways that you can connect with God: through prayer, the bible and worship. 

Over the next 3 days, I invite you to embark on the greatest journey of your life. The journey of getting to know God in an authentic way, beyond tradition and religion. Knowing God is about building a true relationship with Him. A relationship that transforms you from the inside out.
