Crisis Converted

DAY 6 OF 64

Theme: God is never too tired.

Crisis Converted Then:

The Israelites both in exile and throughout their relationship with God, commonly complain that God can’t hear them or is ignoring them. In the culmination of chapter forty, the prophet specifically counters this claim. Not only does God hear and see but he is never too tired to act. In fact, he has such great energy and enthusiasm that he is able to supply his people with limitless strength.

Crisis Converted Now:

The prophet uses the imagery of a bird molting their feathers and growing new feathers. The passage “soar on wings like eagles” might be better translated as “grow new feathers like the eagles.” The idea is that God has used the exile to molt the Israelites, but he is now giving them new wings. There are times when God uses trials in our life to molt our feathers but then gives us new feathers to fly upon. How has God been molting you and teaching you to fly?
