Day One - God Made us All with a Purpose 

Welcome to our devotional All Change, we are so happy that you are here with us.  We believe that just like a Caterpillar changes into a Butterfly, we can all grow and change as we become more like Jesus.  Shaking off the old and stepping into the new. 

During this series we will be journeying together through the bible to discover more about creation and how we are created by God, unique and with purpose.  In addition we will follow Jonah on his journey of change and discover how God makes a way for Jonah to make better choices. 

This week we are going to be taking a look at God’s purpose! 

READ:

‘Adam and Eve’ in a Children’s Bible or Genesis 2

In Genesis 2:7 it tells us that God formed Adam from the dust of the ground - this would be impossible for anyone else but God. 

God made Adam and then He did something wonderful - God breathed into Adam’s nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being.

Mankind is a direct result of God– His own breath and desire. God took plain old dirt and made a person! But one person wasn’t quite enough…

ASK:

Maybe you could create something to help you remember how wonderful God is? 

Maybe you could use the ‘Remember verse’ and create something to help you remember it? 

REMEMBER:

Look at the new thing I am going to do.

It is already happening. Don’t you see it?

I will make a road in the desert.

I will make rivers in the dry land.

(Isaiah 43:19)

SAY:

Thank you Lord that you have created us all unique and wonderful.  

Help us to love you and everyone you have placed in our lives and 

to become more like you every day - in Jesus name - Amen.
