All Change (Week 1)Sample

Day One - We are Created by God. 

Welcome to our devotional All Change, we are so happy that you are here with us.  We believe that just like a Caterpillar changes into a Butterfly, we can all grow and change as we become more like Jesus.  Shaking of the old and stepping into the new. 

During this series we will be journeying together through the bible to discover more about creation and how we are created by God, unique and with purpose.  In addition we will follow Jonah on his journey of change and discover how God makes a way for Jonah to make better choices.  Just like a caterpillar changes into a butterfly, we can change too and become more like Jesus.  

This week we are going to be taking a look at creation.  

READ:

‘The Beginning’ in a Children’s Bible or Genesis 1

In the very beginning there was nothing, but God decided to create the world. 

God is a very wonderful God, and it is only He who could create the world. 

ASK:

Can you remember the order of creation? 

Day One: Day and Night 

Day Two: Water 

Day Three: Dry land and plants

Day Four: Sun, Moon, and Stars

Day Five: Fish and the Birds 

Day Six: Animals and people 

Maybe you can draw or paint a picture of what you think creation would look like? 

REMEMBER:

Look at the new thing I am going to do.

It is already happening. Don’t you see it?

I will make a road in the desert.

I will make rivers in the dry land.

(Isaiah 43:19)

SAY:

Thank you Lord that you have created us all unique and wonderful.  

Help us to love you and everyone you have placed in our lives and 

to become more like you every day
