Repentance is a key to breakthrough

Repenting any known sin in our lives is the key to a breakthrough.

God didn't save us so we can remain in sinful habits. He calls us to leave behind sin, and follow Him instead.

He saved us to do good works. He doesn't just ask us to pray a prayer of salvation while we run the other way - He calls us to follow Him. 

Colossians 2:6-7 tells us, “And now, just as you accepted Christ Jesus as your Lord, you must continue to follow him. Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness.”

If you have put your faith in Jesus, but are experiencing spiritual dissonance, maybe there is something you need to repent of and turn away from? (See Hebrews 12:1) 

Surrendering your whole life to Christ in repentance, and giving Him access to be Lord over all of your life will assuredly bring about a powerful personal breakthrough.
