Limitless

DAY 1 OF 5

In the book of Proverbs, Solomon writes that without vision, people will perish. In this context, the word “vision” is actually “dream.” When he says people will perish, the literal translation is that people will wander aimlessly through scattered lives.

The enemy will do everything he can to put a cap on your limitless dream. He’ll go so far as to make you forget you ever had a dream at all, leaving you listless and making you question whether you have or have ever had anything to offer to others. That is the beginning of a slippery slope. Once you convince yourself that no one else needs you or wants what you have to offer, you’re likely to isolate, disconnect from those people and things in which you used to find value. You put your dreams on a shelf, push them to the back, and leave them there, convinced they are out of reach. The only thing worse than never reaching your dreams, however, is never having one at all.

No matter how persuasive you are in convincing yourself that your dreams are impossible or nonexistent, the truth is that God has given you a dream—a limitless one that can’t be contained within walls or below a ceiling. He has equipped you with the desire and the tools necessary to fulfill His dream for your life. It’s time to take the limits off your dream.

Do you know what your dream is? Do you believe that God can help you achieve it, or are you just waiting to watch it crash and fall? Before you dismiss your dream, keep this in mind: Every dream matters. No matter how big or small, every dream matters to God. Every dream mothers and fathers have for their children matters. Every dream husbands and wives have for their marriage matters. Every dream a business owner has for his or her business matters. Even your broken dreams matter.
