You Didn’t Get to Choose Your Family
The reality is, eveyone comes from such different families, don’t they? Some have a bunch of siblings while others are only children. Some have both parents or stepparents, others live with foster families or more distant relatives.
Whatever your family dynamic is, remember this: God knew the family you would be in, and He will use your family to help you become the person that He wants you to be. Believe that. Your family can refine you and even strengthen you to become who He intends for you to be. And granted, you didn’t get to choose the family you have, but you do get to choose how you act, behave, and live within whatever your family structure is like.
God wants for you to show His love to your family no matter what your situation is like. You can choose to make things harder, and argue, and not listen, or you can choose to love your family well and show them what God’s love is all about.
