This Is Us (Week Three)Sample

Day One 

Welcome to our Daily Devotional for our new series This Is Us - During this series we are going to journey through our Freedom Church DNA.  Some of you may know that DNA is like the secret code inside you - the thing that makes you, well, you!  You may also know that God created us in His image and wants us to live our best life

This week we are looking at our Freedom DNA -  Relevant to our Time and Changeling, let's start with  Relevant to our Time, looking at how Saul became Paul and lived to tell others about how wonderful God is. 

Relevant to our time

We will share an ageless message that engages the next generation and is easily understood by unchurched people. We will adapt our methods and lay down our preferences for the times and cultures we are called to reach.

Saul did not love God or His people, he wanted to put all the people who did love God in jail!  But God loved Saul and so wanted the very best for his life…….we will see how God made a way for Saul to change and become Paul. 

ASK:

Did you know that God loves everyone?  But not everyone knows this, so God wants us to share this message in a way that is easily understood, that’s what Relevant to our Time is all about.   Who can you tell about God’s love today?   

REMEMBER:

So God created human beings in his image. In the image of God he created them. He created them male and female - Genesis 1:27

SAY:

God created me, 

Magnificent you can see. 

Every cell and part, 

Were designed in His heart. 

From the beginning of creation,

Every clan, tribe and nation. 

Made in His image, 

With purpose, love and to encourage. 

Whatever come what may, 

This is my DNA!
