Are You Ready?Sample

For most, as we embraced 2021, there was a looming reality, that life still looked quite different than we imagined it would.  New Year's celebrations and resolutions likely looked different from previous years. Rather than gathering in cities or in large festivities, many were comfortably found in the quiet of a living space.  As we’ve transitioned from one year to the next, we still find ourselves in the midst of uncertain times and with a lot of unanswered questions.  Regardless of how we’re feeling or processing life, we’re walking into uncharted territory in so many ways. At the beginning of a new year comes the opportunity to reset and re-evaluate priorities and goals.  There is a good chance that we don’t feel ready for whatever is ahead simply because we didn’t anticipate what we’ve already walked through.  

The wandering journey of the Israelites reveals so much to us as the people of God. As Believers, we have a unique opportunity alongside of God, to get ready for whatever is ahead; drawing from the guidance of scripture and the presence of the Holy Spirit. God championed His people to be strong and courageous in the midst of their many trials. He is preparing us for the terrains of life - to lean into His presence and find refuge and strength there.  Success may look different now, but we must purpose to draw near to God.  He is faithful to draw near to us with the assurance and clarity we need. Are you ready?  

QUESTIONS 

We can sometimes enter into a specific season of life with apprehension.  Are you ready to “crossover” and enter into God’s promises?  

Have you noticed yourself running away from that which you’re called to? Take time to process with a trusted friend, spend time in God’s Word, and surrender your plans before Him.  

How might you prepare spiritually and practically in order to step into the unknown?
