This Is Us (Week Four) Sample

Day One 

Welcome to our Daily Devotional for our new series This Is Us.  During this series we are going to journey through our Freedom Church DNA.  Some of you may know that DNA is like the secret code inside you – the thing that makes you, well, you!  You may also know that God created us in His image and wants us to live our best life.

This week we are looking at our Freedom DNA –  Raise the Next and Heart and Soul.  Let's start with Raise the Next, looking at how Jesus lovingly led His disciples and helped them to understand the importance of investing in others. 

Raise the Next

We lovingly disciple; we release leadership; we inspire kingdom influencers and plant new churches. We share the truths and opportunities given to us, changing the world through a legacy of multiplication.

‘Jesus and the Children’ in the Beginners Bible (pages 409–412) or in Matthew 19, Mark 10 and Luke 18

The children loved to spend time with Jesus.  We all have our own way of spending time with Jesus that’s just right for us – it doesn’t matter how we do this but it is important that we do this each day. 

ASK:  What is your favourite way to spend time with Jesus? 

REMEMBER:

So God created human beings in his image. In the image of God he created them. He created them male and female. – Genesis 1:27

SAY:

God created me, 

Magnificent you can see. 

Every cell and part, 

Were designed in His heart. 

From the beginning of creation,

Every clan, tribe and nation. 

Made in His image, 

With purpose, love and to encourage. 

Whatever come what may, 

This is my DNA!
