Guided by God in 2021 and AlwaysSample

 FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS 

I can only imagine what the Ikea wardrobe would have looked like if my husband hadn't followed the assembly instructions. He surely would have been able to put it together, but it would have been much more complicated and perhaps not quite right or functional. Our lives are like that as well. We can follow and obey God's instructions, or we can forgo God's guidance. It's an active choice. One way leads to God's blessings, and the other often leads to sin and destruction. 

When God instructed Joshua to lead the Israelites into the Promised Land of Canaan after Moses' death, He commanded them to be strong and courageous and to obey all the laws Moses had given them, meditating on them day and night. When they followed God's instruction, they prospered and succeeded. When they chose not to follow God's instructions, they often suffered the consequences of their transgressions. The same is true for us. When God directs us in the path of His commands, and we follow His ways, we find joy.

As God's children, we must learn to follow His instructions. Thankfully, God gives us a helper, the Holy Spirit living within us, to teach us the right path to avoid temptation and sin. God desires to guide you with His wise counsel and abounding love. Don't miss His will for you by refusing to take steps of obedience and faith. Trust that God's ways are the best. He sees the bigger picture that you can't and is there for you every day to strengthen you to live by His instruction. All you have to do is invite Him and respond to His direction. God will reward you richly, both on earth and in His Heavenly Kingdom, when you follow Him and His instructions.
