The Heart Attitudes: Part 1Sample

Philippians 2:5 NIV
“Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus”
Romans 12:4-5 HCSB
“Now as we have many parts in one body, and all the parts do not have the same function, in the same way, we are one body in Christ and individually members of one another.”
The last three Heart Attitudes deal with how we relate to an organization. They can be applicable to any organization, but they work best in the context of a local church or ministry. The last three are in some ways dependent on the successful implantation of the first four.
When we learn to relate well to other individuals, the relationships to and within an organization have a greater chance of being healthy. The more of the members who put the first four into practice, the greater the likelihood of the organization working well as one body.
Bullock says it this way in the book. “To relate in an organization we must do two things. First, we must handle our personal relationships rightly. Second, we must handle our responsibilities to the organization rightly.”
That is a pretty good synopsis of the application of the group of the first four Heart Attitudes and the second three.
