Your First StepsSample

NEW
When I was in the fourth grade, I was in a school-wide finalist in the geography bee. That’s right, my school had a less glamorous bee than spelling. I was in the top three. Then, my question came. The hardest question I had received all day.
And I got it wrong.
Even worse, I knew the answers to the next two questions, the questions that decided who came in first and second place. If the questions were asked in a slightly different order, I would have won.
I had never wanted a second chance as badly as I did that day.
By choosing to follow Jesus, you get more than a second chance, you get a whole new life.
When you choose to follow Him, your old life fades away, and a new life begins.
Not just a second chance—a new life.
Does that mean you won’t have to deal with the consequences of prior decisions? No, but it does mean that a new version of you, with a whole new nature, now has an opportunity move forward.
Taking your first steps into following Jesus makes you a completely new person. Embrace your new identity, celebrate your new life, and use it to show the world that Jesus is better than a second chance.
