Words. They Become You!Sample

Speaking is a choice..... Where does real power lie? As we look around the world, it seems as if our minds are trained to believe that power lies in the hands of governments and nations, or the rich and famous, or maybe the educated, or even with a particular race of people. Clearly we have missed it somewhere, by believing that power lies in possessions, status, and abundance…when truly, from Scriptures, we can see that real power lies in words and ultimate power is resident in God’s words. Let us examine a little further on what the Scriptures say, Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and they who indulge in it shall eat the fruit of it [for death or life] (Proverbs 18:21 AMP). It is very clear from this Scripture; we have a choice in the matter of our words. King Solomon was trying to tell us that the words we speak are shaping the course of our lives and they will determine if we have a wonderful long life, or if it will be a life of slow poisoning. In the natural life, we must first hear words and those words get into us, and then those words form a belief system by which we live. Now, out of the very words we’ve heard, or the belief system we adapt to, we then speak out words to create our lives. I am convinced that the type of life we enjoy hinge on the concept of words, first and though many words have gone out in the past over your life, I want you to know it is not too late to make a change in the way you speak. Prayer of Creative Words Father, today I understand where the real power lies, and it is not in how much I own, my status or my position in society, but the real power lies in the tongue. With this understanding, I decree and declare a change in my speaking pattern.
