When men obey God regardless of what He asks them to do, blessings come. Blessings reinforce behavior. Therefore, God blesses us when we obey so that behavior will be reinforced, and we will become all He has designed us to be. The Bible says: If you are willing and obedient, you will eat the best from the land (Isaiah 1:19). As we understand this great principle, may we pray the simple prayer, "Dear Lord, You be the needle and I will be the thread. You go first, and I will follow wherever You may lead."
