 Week Three - Day Two - Even Though I am Young

Welcome to our ‘Born For This’ devotional. We are so excited to dig into what this means over the next few weeks, as we look at different people in the Bible who followed the plan God had for them. God has an amazing plan for you, too! He made you to be his special son or daughter, and He’s put so much precious gold inside of you to help you with His plan! We can thrive because we are born for this!

READ:

‘Boy King Josiah’ in the Beginners Bible (pages 235-239) or in 2 Kings 22:1-23:3.

Josiah became the King of Judah at a very young age. Do you remember how old he was? 

Before Josiah became King, there were lots of bad Kings that ruled before him.  

The bad kings and the people had forgotten God. 

Sometimes we may forget about God and think more about ourselves and other things - when we find ourselves doing this we can say "I'm sorry" to God and He will forgive us! 

God loves us so much and wants to spend time with us. 

ASK:

How do you remember that God loves you?  

REMEMBER:

I praise you because you made me in an amazing and wonderful way. 

What you have done is wonderful.  I know this very well. (Psalm 139:14)

SAY:

I Can Thrive

With you in my life.

All you create,

Is wonderful and great. 

I will recall all you have done, 

The battles that have been won. 

I am fearless in my quest,

For I am Born for This.
