Christian fellowship is more than a handshake and a meal. It means sharing the burdens and blessings of others, to be able to rejoice and mourn together. It is growing together in the Lord. Paul says if one part is weaker, we bestow greater honor. We should have the same care for one another. In God’s divine wisdom, even these weaker members are necessary for the body. God has so composed the body as He pleases, so there is no reason to despise or envy one another. Since there is this mutual dependence, we’re valuable to one another.

Just as pain or pleasure of one part afflicts the whole natural body, the same applies to the spiritual body. When Christians grow cold towards each other, lose their concern and care for each other, the body will break up and disintegrate.







Prayer: Father, help us to demonstrate the love You have for us to others. That we will be the one to encourage, support, nurture others in love, and sympathize with those who are in need. Give us teachable hearts to submit to one another, have care and concern for one another and together as a church to glorify your name. Amen.
