There's Hope For TodaySample

It’s a gray, rainy, cold, wet morning. I’m fighting a hard battle between what I should do and what I will do. I should run. I have the right gear for rain. I always enjoy having run in the rain. I have the time set aside. I need the exercise, yet the battle rages.
The first mile is hard. The cold slaps me in the face. My back feels a little bit tight. My feet will probably get wet. What if the drizzle turns into a downpour? I know I’ll regret it if I don’t run, so ... where did I put that Gore-tex jacket?
Life is filled with easy “put-offs.” “I’ll do it later,” we say. “There’s plenty of time,” we tell ourselves, so our days end unfulfilled; the culmination of seven decades of putting off the little things.
The daily “put-offs” feed a growing monster called procrastination. This “big boy” ultimately devours our future, our hopes, our dreams, our destinies. We are left with pocket change when we should have been set for life. We live at the bottom when we should have scaled the heights. We live cluttered and inefficient lives, flustered by our inability to help, or lead, or influence.
Go back to school! Finish off your list! Settle an issue! Organize a mess! As for me, I’m going running in the rain.
