GO2020 | ENGAGE: April Week 4 - SHARESample

April 29—God’s Instructions, Part 2
Read
Luke 10:1-11
Reflect
So, we head out into the harvest, in our neighborhood, our town, and beyond. Jesus says we may encounter a certain type of person. What kind of person? How will we know we have found a “son of peace?” (ESV). How would you describe a “son of peace?” What do we share with the “son of peace?” What evidence do you see around you that the kingdom of God has come near?
Engage
Reread the Scripture passage. You’ve now read it two days in a row. Does anything stand out to you differently than it did yesterday? Consider the ENGAGE questions again. Don’t be afraid of the repetition. We learn more about God each time we read and reread his Word.
· What does it say about God?
· What does it say about us?
· Is there a promise to trust?
· Is there a command to obey?
· How will I apply this Scripture to my life?
· Who will I show that I care by sharing this truth?
Memorize
Now read this week’s memory verse, Matthew 24:14. Spend a few minutes working to memorize it.

About this Plan

This week we will discover God’s plan to mobilize mission so that the whole world will know the name of Jesus. His plan from the very beginning was for his people to make him known among the nations. The church, empowered by the Holy Spirit, has been commissioned to make disciples of every nation.
