Our lives are full of different kinds of relationships. We have spouses, children, friends, co-workers, and extended family members. And because no one is perfect, there will be different degrees of strain that we experience when interacting with people. Even though some relationships are more difficult to navigate than others, we can do our part in treating others with respect and honor.

Today’s Prayer

Lord, help me to love others and delight in honoring them. Help me become humble, gentle, patient, and to bear with others in love. I’ll do everything in my power to keep peace in my relationships. I’ll bless those who speak negatively, and I won’t pay back evil when someone has been rude or ugly to me. God, with Your help, I won’t let someone else’s actions dictate my behavior. I’ll encourage and build others up. I’ll exhibit love, be patient, and be kind. I won’t be jealous, boastful, proud, or rude. In humility, I’ll consider others as better than myself. As much as it depends on me, God, I’ll live at peace with everyone.
