Day One - He has not given us a spirit of fear!
This week we are learning that God makes us brave!
As we are learning that God makes us brave, we are looking at the story of Jesus walking on water. You can read this too in the Beginners Bible (page 364-371) or in Matthew 14:22-33!
Do you think Peter was afraid to step out of the boat and onto the water?
How do you think the disciples felt when the storm came?
Is there anything in your life that you fear?
Have a chat with your adult about what, if anything, you fear?
Whatever it is that you are afraid of, remember to keep your eyes on Jesus! He will make you brave!
Our memory verse for this series, 2 Timothy 1:7, says that "For God has not given us a spirit of fear or timidity, but of power and of love and of a sound mind." This means that we don’t have to be afraid of anything! God is with you all the time, and He loves and cares for you so much!
You are bigger than my fears, you wipe away my tears. I have a voice to pray, you teach me what to say. I am brave because of You! We tell our fear to quit, we've had enough of it!
