Coronavirus: Find Peace In Troubled Times

Day 6 of 7 • This day’s reading

Devotional

His peace is perfect!

“‘For the mountains shall depart and the hills be removed, but My kindness shall not depart from you, nor shall My covenant of peace be removed,’ says the Lord, who has mercy on you.” (Isaiah 54:10 NKJV) (Emphasis added)

No matter what situation, the Coronavirus or otherwise, may be telling you, God’s covenant of peace with you is perfect. This means that nothing can be added to it to make it better or sweeter. It perfectly answers the needs of your heart!

  • This peace is like heavy, soaking rain falling on the arid ground.
  • This peace is like a light, refreshing breeze in the heat of summer.
  • This shalom is a sustaining flame in the midst of the bitterest winter.

God’s love is an endless covenant of peace.

Listen closely...look...the peace of God is everywhere, all around and within you. Every morning, He writes you a love letter filled with it. He captures the first rays of sunlight to light up and warm the soil of your heart. “‘Because of God’s tender mercy, the morning light from heaven is about to break upon us, to give light to those who sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, and to guide us to the path of peace.’” (Luke 1:78-7, NLT) (Emphasis added)

I invite you to receive this peace, to believe that He’s the source of it, that His wells of living water never run dry. (see John 4:13-14) Grasp this powerful truth so that divine shalom breaks your chains, dries your tears, and heals your heart.

Thanks for existing!
