I Will Not FearSample

I Will Not Fear. 

“For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” 2 Timothy‬ ‭1:7‬ ‭KJV‬‬

According to Strong’s Concordance, the Greek word for “Fear” is, ‘deilia’ (G1167) which means, “Timidity, fearfulness, cowardice.” For God has not given you the spirit of fear, timidity, fearfulness or cowardice — but of power, love, and of a sound mind. God has given you the power to overcome fear. 

In fact, according to Strong’s Concordance, the Greek word for “Power” is, ‘dynamis’ (G1411) which means, “Strength, power, and ability.” God has given you the strength, power, and ability to overcome and conquer every form of fear. Fear has no place in the life of a Believer. When fear tries to raise its head, choose to crush and conquer fear by speaking life — speak the Word of God. 

2 Timothy‬ ‭1:7‬ ‭AMPC‬‬ declares, “For God did not give us a spirit of timidity (of cowardice, of craven and cringing and fawning fear), but [He has given us a spirit] of power and of love and of calm and well-balanced mind and discipline and self-control.” Let God give you His Peace. Let God lead and transform your soul and your mind. Let your mind, will, emotions, and intellect surrender to Christ’s Way of doing things. God has given you the power and ability to stay calm in the midst of the storm. 

In Christ, you are well-balanced, disciplined, and you have self-control. In fact, according to 2 Timothy‬ ‭1:7‬ ‭NLT‬‬, the New Living Translation declares, “For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline.” When you are in Christ, you have self-discipline. Let His Word lead and regulate your emotions. Let fear have no place in your life. Choose to declare His Word in the midst of chaos. Choose to let His Word rule over your mind and soul. Let fear have no dominion in any part of your life. 

Confession Over Fear:

Father God, in the Name of Jesus, I choose to serve You. Father, my heart serves You. 

Lord, fear has no place in my heart and my home. Father, you are Lord over my life and I choose not to serve fear. Father, my house does not serve fear. 

Father, You have not given me the spirit of fear, but of power, love, and of a sound mind. 

Father, I surrender to You now and forever. In Jesus’ Name. Amen
