In biblical times a watchman would guard and protect the city walls at night which would have been a tough role. Picture the sigh of relief and exhaustion as morning came. Just as the watchman knows the sun will always rise, you can be sure that the Lord will show up in your times of darkness.
Prayer: Lord today I wait on you, with the assurance that you always are there for me.
