Fear Not, And Take Courage!

Accepting Jesus as my Lord and Savior was the greatest decision I ever made. And it is the same for you, too. I am so excited for you to embark on this journey with our Maker. Hang tight, taste and see that the Lord is good!

Allow for me to share my story with you.

I was born to a very poor family in the Philippines. My dad was an alcoholic, and we didn’t have enough of anything. My three older brothers died because they didn’t have the medical attention necessary for survival. Food was a scarcity, so my sister and I would sleep hungry. 

One exciting day, my sister and I found out that apples were imported to the Philippines. Just imagine! My sister and I begged my mom to buy one for us, but they were not able to afford even a rotten bit of the fruit.

My life was unknown. I didn’t consider my future because I was too scared to think about what would become of my family and I.

You may be in a similar situation. The Lord has taken hold of your life and shown you His love. But what does the future hold now? Fight the fear creeping in when your mind wanders to the unknown, and know that you can stand firm in His truth.

Isaiah 41:10 - "Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous hand."

He is our creator and our God! He knows our future and has great plans for us. So do not be afraid! He has promised to help us, and help will come.

It came to my family in the most unexpected way. My father, always drunk, one day, picked up a tract (a reading material about Jesus) on the floor in His workplace and went to a crusade. In that crusade, He received Jesus as His Lord and Savior and brought us to church. My entire family accepted Jesus soon after.

The Lord transforms lives! Welcome to His family. Fear not.

Prayer: Father, thank You for sending Your son Jesus Christ to die on the cross for us not to perish, but save us. What great love You have given us. If you can do that for us, sacrificing Your son so we can live, why should we be afraid of what the future will bring. Your perfect love drives out all fear. Help us to trust in You as we walk in this new life that You have given. Amen.
