Isn’t David’s question incredible? A heart dragging its heels might ask: ‘To whom must I show kindness?’ But David’s heart leapt to its feet: ‘Is there anyone still left of the house of Saul to whom I can show kindness?’ (It’s even more amazing when you consider new kings normally wanted to kill off potential rivals to the throne!)
Simply pray this, then listen. ‘Lord, is there anyone on my frontline to whom I can show kindness?’
