Day 2: Vision Is Vital

From a Christian perspective, vision is the ability to clearly see and articulate where God wants us to go or what God wants us to do in a given situation. Vision is the bridge between the present and future reality. 

Vision is a God-glimpse into our preferred future and desired destiny.

In August of 1964, under the backdrop of the Lincoln Memorial, Martin Luther King, Jr. delivered his “I Have a Dream” speech; the defining speech of his generation, where he envisioned a better America—one of equality and brotherhood. His dream has fueled a thousand other dreams and many of those dreams have become a reality. This is the power of vision. 

Vision is vital!

Every movement begins with a vision. Whether you want to transform your life or transform your closet, you must have a vision. A dedicated focus on change starts with a vision of a different future. 

A vision is something only God can give, but the great news is, it’s available to all of us.

Maybe you’ve messed up in the past. Maybe you’ve made poor choices. You’ve hurt people. You’ve misused your resources. 

You are not disqualified from God-given vision! He will still give you bold vision for what you want your life to look like. 

Your past doesn't cut you out of the inheritance of the vision God has for you. In fact, I think it qualifies you even more because the depths of our destruction only prepare our vision to be even sharper; because when we see with God’s eyes, we can see the glorious contrast to the ways our lives used to be. 

We can begin to truly dream again.

What if today God was trying to show you a vision of what your life could be?
