Isaiah 9:6 - For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given, and the government will be upon His shoulders. And He will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

We all see things differently. Isn’t it amazing how two people can look at the same event or circumstance and convey it with varying nuances?  There are so many different streams of faith that it is amazing we all call ourselves “one body” of believers, for we all see things differently.  But one thing is for certain:

Something BIG HAPPENED in Bethlehem!

In Isaiah’s prophecy about the Messiah, he tells us that one day all the ways people govern themselves will culminate in Jesus the Christ.  He will put all the governments of the world on His shoulders.  Then and only then, He will bring all those different world views together in Himself. He will bring all those who trust in Him together as one.  In unison, we will live under His rule and peace.  

In times like these, where neighbor is against neighbor, my heart longs for the Prince of Peace to come.  Until then, we must keep seeking and searching for His truth and peace to rule in our hearts and lives as we pray, “Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” (Matthew 6:10)

My desire in these next few days is to show you how I see and experience the mystery of knowing God. I want to share how His incarnation matters, not only in December but all year long. God loves you, and Christmas proves it over and over again to me. 

I believe faith is the opposite of certainty. I’m pretty sure about a lot of things, but at the end of the day, only the Spirit of God can confirm in your heart that what happened all those years ago in Bethlehem was real, amazing, and for you. 

My desire is to speak to both believers and skeptics about the night when God gave the Song and started the whole world singing. And to that end, we (Ernie Haase & Signature Sound) offer our voices and artistic expression to the great mystery of God’s redeeming love.  Enjoy!
