Faith Pleases God

Galatians 2:16

Very few people are comfortable with confrontation. Coming to grips with the truth can be difficult. Sometimes truth is revealed as a gentle reminder and other times we are hit hard when we know the truth. In both cases, if we let truth enter our heart, not only are we properly instructed by it, but our way becomes clearer. How good are you at dealing with a revelation of truth in your own life?

Paul had a radical encounter with Jesus as truth on the road to Damascus (Acts 9). This once passionate Pharisee came face to face with who Christ is—the only way to the Father and the Savior of the world. As Paul allowed that truth to penetrate his being—it made his life and vision clear. His life from that point forward was changed. He wrote to the Galatian church to make sure they understood the truth about faith in Christ, even if it meant he had to confront some people in the process.

Have you allowed Christ to enter your heart and make your life and vision clear?

For Paul, faith in Jesus Christ alone became the fulfillment of the Law and the only way to please God, the Father. He gave his life to preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ and taught the churches the truth he lived and died for: pleasing God is about faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

Beloved, God wants your life to be filled with faith in Jesus. Let God’s Word penetrate your heart and let faith in Christ arise in you in a fresh way today. Accepting this truth pleases God.
