Kingdom Prayers

DAY 7 OF 30

Lord, give me a unity in my life—a unity of thought, desire, emotion, word, and deed. Let that unified being be entirely focused on serving and pleasing You. Forgive me for the times when discord in myself hinders me from being what You intend me to be. Let the life of Christ be fully expressed in me with such harmony that I am perfectly in tune with Your intentions.

Give me a soul and spirit attuned to Your will. Let my only fear be of disappointing You. Let my only hope be for the redemption of all things in Your eternal presence through eternity. Let my only thought be of doing Your will. Let my only love be for You, and from You for others. Let my only desire be to know You more fully so that I might make You more fully known and more fully love You.

Let my wisdom be of You, my riches in You, my power from You. May I see the emptiness of the false wisdom, riches, and power offered by the world. May all my happiness be from Your image, presence, service, and favor. You are my wisdom, my treasure, and my strength.

Agriculture

Lord, when You created mankind, You placed him in the garden to tend and care for it. Thank You for preserving a vestige of that high calling in farms. Let the lessons of the farm teach me of your ways in the world. Let me recognize your orderliness, your beauty, and the discipline of an unmixed life. As I observe Your cultivation of fields, vines, and trees, may I gain a passion for consistent growth in serving you by blessing others and glorifying You. Show me the power and fulfillment of purpose in the wonder of draft animals as they submit to their masters. Teach me the dignity of blessing others and serving the common good as I observe the hard work and persistence of the farmer. Let me serve You with these same traits as I am pruned by You to achieve Your purposes and bear much fruit so You will be glorified.
