Having Therefore These Promises

Day 1 of 3 • This day’s reading

Having Therefore These Promises.

Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.” 2 Corinthians‬ ‭7:1‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Choose to cleanse yourself with the Word of God. Choose to surrender to His Word and let His Word wash you from the inside out. Let God’s Word clean your hands. Let God’s Word cleanse your heart. Let His Word touch every part of your life. Let His Word clean your spiritual and moral character. Hold fast to His Word and let His Word cling to every part of your heart.

Let His Word cleanse you from the filthiness of your past. Let His Word breathe into your future. Choose to step forward in faith and leave the past behind. Allow God’s Word to remove the stain of the past. Cling to the future. For His future is bright for you. He wants to lead and direct your path. Choose to embrace God’s promises and surrender your flesh to God.

‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭7:1‬ ‭AMPC‬‬ declares, “THEREFORE, SINCE these [great] promises are ours, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from everything that contaminates and defiles body and spirit, and bring [our] consecration to completeness in the [reverential] fear of God.” According to Strong’s Concordance, the Greek word for cleanse is, ‘katharizō’ (G2511) which means, “To make clean, cleanse from physical stains and dirt.” Let Christ make you clean. Let Christ make you whole.

Christ came to set you free from every bondage. His power can break every generational yoke. There is no struggle that He cannot crush. There is no cycle that He cannot set you free from. God is able to deliver you from any bondage that the enemy tries to tie around your neck. There is no weight that God cannot break. Jesus Christ is the Yoke Destroyer and there is nothing that’s too hard for God.

2 Corinthians‬ ‭7:1‬ ‭NLT‬‬ declares, “Because we have these promises, dear friends, let us cleanse ourselves from everything that can defile our body or spirit. And let us work toward complete holiness because we fear God.”

His Word is His promise. Every promise in His Word belongs to you. Choose to believe that His Word can set you free. Let His Yoke-Breaking Power set you free in every area of your life. Choose to be made whole. Choose to be cleansed from the past. Let His Word remove the bondage and the weight of sin. Choose to be set free.
