Oftentimes, Satan comes after us, not with a blatant sin, but with an idea or a lie. It’s much more subtle. Many times, we aren’t even aware of the lies we believe.
When it comes to our mental health, one of the lies we often believe is that we are all alone. No one else feels this way. We may know deep down that that isn’t the case, but our feelings mask the truth.
Hear this clearly: you are not alone.
Many people have seasons where they wrestle with depression or anxiety. This isn’t just a 21st Century thing. This is a human thing. It’s nothing to be ashamed of or embarrassed about.
Throughout the Bible, we read of people who wrestled with depression, anxiety, and even suicidal thoughts. People like Moses, Job, David, Jeremiah, Elijah, and even Jesus know what it’s like to struggle. You are not alone.
