Glorious Gleaning - Jesus In The Book Of RuthSample

Listen to chapter 2. Ruth, an alien whom God naturalized, became His friend. (Ephesians 2:12, Romans 9:25-26, Hosea 2:23, John 15:15). In His country, she started out as a diligent gleaner (Prov 22:29) but ended up as the co-owner of the field. (1 Peter 5:6-7, Psalm 3:3, Matthew 23:12, 1:1, 1:5) That’s success of the God-kind. Ruth, by the way, means “friend”.
About this Plan

Our Jewish brethren celebrate Shavuot, the giving of the Torah, and their Feast of Firstfruits, every spring. (Exodus 34:22) They study and meditate on the Book of Ruth. Let’s do likewise and meet with the Lord of the harvest.
