At the birth of Jesus, the angels sang out “Glory to God in the highest, and peace on earth to people He favors!” So, with the first declaration of your Savior, we learn that He came to bring peace. Even when wars and violence seem pervasive, the peace of God rules our hearts and minds (Colossians 3:15). So, we praise Him today for the supernatural peace he infuses in our hearts, and we ask him to show us the way to physical peace in our nation today.
