Kamp Kids Book of John StudySample

The reason John wrote this gospel is so that you would believe. In these verses, we see a desperate father seeking a miracle from Jesus. Isn’t that how so many of us come to Jesus—desperate and seeking a miracle? Sometimes Jesus answers that request and sometimes, for a greater purpose we may not know, He does not. However, He always answers in His perfect timing and in His perfect way. The official “begged him to come and heal,” and instead Jesus said, “Go, your son will live.” The official trusted Jesus’ way of providing the miracle. He could have argued with him and said, “No, please come and touch him so he will be healed.” The official did not do that. He simply “took Jesus at His word and departed (obeyed).” Jesus doesn’t have to be physically present with us to create a miracle on our behalf. He is omnipresent, meaning He is everywhere.
Questions:
1. What has God told you that may seem scary to trust but you must trust and take him at His word?
2. Has God ever not shown up for a miracle like you thought. I challenge you to read John 11.
3. What miracles has God performed on your behalf?

About this Plan

"We get hype for Jesus," but why? What's so amazing about this Jesus guy? Is He really worth living for? Is He really who He says He is? "Kamp Kids John Study" was written as a 60 day devotional to keep kids engaged with Jesus and His heart, especially after coming back from "kamp" or an amazing encounter with our living God.
