The time has come to select a new king to lead Israel toward success and towards God’s heart. The man…or boy rather…who is chosen surprises everyone, even his own father. This passage reinforces how little outward appearances matter in the right-side-up Kingdom of God.
As you read the following scripture, take a few moments to meditate on the word of God, then respond to the following questions:
- What has God revealed to you about His kingdom?
- What has God revealed to you about the King?
- What has God revealed to you about being a citizen of the new kingdom?
- Now, ask the Holy Spirit to provide you opportunities to live into God's kingdom today!
